Describe what you create and what inspires you.
My goal with The Twisted Forest has always been to bring the wonder of the Craft to people, and to offer art set with magical intentions. Most of my work is inspired by the forests around me and traditional Witchcraft.
Where do you trace your creative roots back to?
I was very lucky to grow up around a variety of artists and makers in my family who supported my creative and odd spirit. Growing up in Salem Massachusetts I was often around many other odd and creative people which inspired me to not be afraid to stand out!
What do you find challenging about the creative process?
Not constantly trying new projects!
What goals do you have for your creative pursuits?
Decolonization, deappropriation, and reeducation. It’s been my experience that witchcraft is still greatly misunderstood, But there are also many that are unaware of the impact that cultural appropriation within the Craft has had on other communities. My goal is to teach folks about Magic through intersectionality and inclusivity.
