raskl.

hand-stamped clothing from raskl.

raskl.’s garments and textiles feature hand-carved-and-printed block printed designs by Pascale Jarvis. Adult-sized garments are gently used, locally thrifted, and deep cleaned with borax before they’re given new life through Pascale’s artistry. Organic cotton baby onesies and toddler t-shirts, cotton fabric patches, and cotton bandanas make up raskl.’s other printed textiles. After cleaning the garments and textiles, Pascale meticulously prints their hand-carved linoleum stamps – called blocks – onto the pieces using oil-based ink designed for fabric and a bit of elbow grease. The imagery of designs center around hyperlocal flora and fauna – woodferns, violets, chives, garlic, princely toads, acorns, hemlock pine cones, for example – paired with a bit of playful geometry, creating a way to honor a moment of our ever-evolving landscape by literally wearing it on one’s back.
